Packing the right things for your trek is as important as planning your trek. Packing is a hectic thing to do for those who do not know what to pack and how to pack. Let me tell you that packing is such an enjoyable stage of travelling because it helps you foresee the amazing experience of trekking. Clothes: Of course right! But what type of clothes do you need to carry is the question. Following are the types of clothes which should be packed for a weekend trek:

·       Light weight clothes which are comfortable such as t-shirts, tank tops, shorts and light weight pants
·       Clothes that can be dried up easily in sun in case if you have any water activity planned
·       Long sleeved t-shirts as it helps you protect from sunburn
·       Jacket or a sweater
·       Innerwear and sleepwear/pajamas

Footwear: Comfortable and durable trekking shoes and socks is very necessary for hassle free trek. Also pair of flip-flops should be considered for packing.

Toiletries: Shampoo, Conditioner, Shower gel/ body wash, facewash, toothpaste, toothbrush, soap, personal hygiene items, towel are the main toiletries that need to be carried.

Skincare: Waterproof sunscreen lotion is recommended for the trek as it protects your skin from getting tanned.

Grooming essentials: Hairbrush, deodorant, face cream, lip balm, belt, moisturizer are the main grooming essentials. Other cosmetics are optional.

First Aid kit: It is always preferable to carry simple first aid kit on a trek. Cotton balls, antiseptic, Band-Aids, eye-drops, ear-drops, tablets should do.

Water bottle: It is very important to keep yourself hydrated during the trek. Hence water bottle is compulsory. Also ORS (oral rehydration solution) is good to be carried. ORS is simply prepared by adding modest amount of sugar and salt into water.

Rain protector: You can never predict the weather change. So rain protectors such as rain coats and umbrella are recommended.

Hand sanitizer: You always cannot use drinking water to keep your hands clean on a trek as you might run out of water. So the alternative is Hand sanitizer.

Plastic bags: Extra plastic bags and tissue papers are necessary to be carried.

Power bank: Do not forget power bank or charger.

Sunburn reliever: Hat/cap, sunglasses, scarf or bandana helps you protect from sunlight.

Electronic gadgets: Travel speakers, ear plugs, adapters, torch are few electronic gadgets that can be carried.

Energy bars: Energy bars, chocolates, dry food helps to keep you energized throughout the trek.

Wallet: Most important of all, do not forget your wallet. Your cards, cash, ID proof, travel documents are very important while travelling.
