Coorg is the largest coffee producer of India. We would be quite fortunate enough to see the types of coffee Coorg is famous for. Arabica and Robusta are the two types of coffee which get exported to the whole world from Coorg. It is time to learn more about coffee than just drinking it.
SUNSET FROM THE CAMPSITE
Our campsite is close to a point from where you can watch the sunset. The sky will change its color and the sun will slowly hide inside the huge mountains of Coorg. It is a matter of time when the sky will turn dark and we must make our move to our campsite.
Camping and campfire go hand in hand though depending upon
weather. When we look back at history of human evolution fire
was said to be life force against wildlife in the night and
also a source of food preparation. Down the line things have
changed, a campfire is just a mark of leisure in a protected
environment. But we must also take initiatives with our Outdoor
Leaders to learn how to light a campfire so that we take back
more than just the memories when we get back to the city.
Also a campfire is an ideal place to understand new perspectives, listen to the lives and stories of other people. It is said that a campfire is a sacred circle which gives a chance to all those who want to share. The ambience of a campfire makes the stories even more interesting for those who like to listen.
When you are surrounded in the wilderness and the sky is clear over you, just lie down on the ground to watch the stars! You can study the basics of astronomy to make it a knowledgeable session. To make it even more interesting and easy for you, you can download mobile applications like Google Sky and see the names of all the stars and constellations you will be able to see.
THE DAWN HIKE
Early morning we will do a small hike till we see the Eastern side to witness the sunrise in Coorg. The dawn is a beautiful experience to cherish forever. When you sleep after campfire, the reason to wake up early should be the sunrise in Coorg. The body clock will eventually adapt to the clock of the sun. Once we are back to campsite, we shall follow the campsite etiquettes of disassembling the whole campsite.
Kabbe hill is a hill which is very scenic and is not difficult to reach as well. The morning should given to appreciate the green around us. It helps to keep the mind calm. We will explore the greenery and the meadows of Kabbe Hills and see the striking view of Coorg from the hilltop. If given a chance by the situation, we will go to a Chelevere waterfall too.PC: Pinterest- Sumanthh
