mountains, river streams, forest cover, infinite views and so
many other elements of nature we miss out on living in the city under one spectrum.
Panorama Peak trek is an easy trek which fits as a weekend
getaway offering peace, calm and moments which we will cherish
Here is video from the top of Panorama Peak made by team Get Beyond Limits:
Panorama Peak trek starts right from our homestay which is a beautiful thatched roof home surrounded by greenery. One of the major attractions is the unobstructed view of the the mountains, floating above a river of clouds. Another fascinating thing about the trek is the dramatic change in sceneries. At one-time one finds themselves in wide open landscapes and some time later, one is surrounded by the jungle. The initial 2 km comprises of a jeep trail that starts as one leaves the home stay. After which the road withers into a rocky path, and the adventure begins from here.
Once we successfully finish the trek and return to the homestay we get to enjoy delicious homemade food. If the circumstances favor, a campfire is set up where one can sit and listen to the stories of other outdoor enthusiasts or simply gaze out towards the star studded night-sky.

- SHORT ITINERARY
|DAY 0||Pickup from Bangalore|
|DAY 1||Overnight journey till homestay – Freshen up – Local Karnataka breakfast – Start the trek – Summit – Start descend – Reach homestay – Campfire (situational)|
|DAY 2||Early morning hike to nearby waterfalls – Reach Bangalore|
The journey begins with a 272-km drive from Bangalore to towards the mountains. Once everyone boards the Get Beyond Limits bus, our outdoor leaders give a brief summary about the trek. After which an introductory sessions takes place amongst the trekkers so that we become one team for the entire experience. We advise trekkers to have light dinner before boarding the bus. We then continue driving through the night so when you wake up, you get the first look of the mountains in the morning light.
The weekend begins with the picturesque view of the sun rising between the mighty mountain ranges. Upon arriving at the homestay, everyone freshens up and gathers to have delicious south-Indian breakfast.
Once that is done, the main event starts as we begin the trek. The initial 2 km of the trek follows a narrow winding concrete road that withers into a rocky path. The rocky path is a gradual ascend that is goes on for another 2 km. This phase is slightly challenging, but soon the path gets levelled and easier to trek.
The total ascend is for 2 kms followed by slight ups and downs with views worth remembering. After 5 kms you reach the highest point and followed by a descend of 5 kms to reach the homestay. After 3 kms to 4 kms after starting the trek, you will find a secluded tree on a meadow which team Get Beyond Limits to call 'Peace Tree'.
While on this trek one can experience dramatic changes in the scenery. The trek begins in open area, with a clear view of the mountain ranges.
One can see valleys and mountains stretching till the horizon. As the trek progresses you find yourself connecting to the nature more and more. Then you reach the highest point in the trek.
A sense of peacefulness settles on you as you sit watching the majestic mountains ranges stretching far into the horizon, and peaking at you through layers of mist.
At one side you have Coorg and on the other side you get the birds-eye view of Chikmagalur ranges.
After you scale the heights of any mountain, the feeling of accomplishment of scaling your inner mountains is imminent. You realize that to rise high, ‘limits’ are imaginary. Outdoors is a way to understand the limitless potential that life has to offer us. It is your time to ‘live the thrill’ in the ‘Get Beyond Limits’ way.
Then you begin the descending. Soon you enter the pristine jungles that surround you in all directions.
The guide and the outdoor leaders can help you in spotting footprints of wild animals and beautiful insects.
The trek route passes through coffee and tea plantations. Nature lovers would specially love this trek as you can find a variety of plants, most significant of which are cardamom, orange and mango.
We sincerely follow ‘leave no trace policy’ and ‘Project Green’ policy and we’ve pledge to keep our cities and mountains clean and free from any form of garbage, litter or trash.
Once we reach the homestay, a well-planned dinner and a wonderful campfire welcomes the hungry outdoor enthusiasts. Our idea is to connect with the nature leaving behind the regular hustle-bustle of the cities. After enjoying the delicious dinner we sit around the campfire and share our respective lives if one wishes to, horror and laughter stories. We believe in the magic of the moments shared between the newly found friends in the midst of the crackling warm campfire.
Embracing the first ray of the mighty Sun, we choose to take a small hike towards a Waterfalls which is very close from our homestay. After the first day’s adventurous hike, we shall be shedding off our tiredness around the waterfalls.
Our sole purpose and idea of trekking is to connect with the mountains and bring the serenity of the mountains to the cities. Soon after breakfast and spending time at the waterfalls, we start our onward journey to Bangalore and have the same drop off point as the pickup points.
The trek is only successful when the participants can feel a difference in their personal lives. The intent is to experience and believe in the concept of ‘Get Beyond Limits’ and overcome all the mental as well as the physical barriers of life.
